Azure is completely self-contained. This means that they provide and take care of all the equipment that they need in order to give deliver a fantastic performance.
Azure’s investment in equipment
Azure doesn’t do things by halves. Some bands cut costs by using low quality equipment. Azure has invested in the best and most reliable sound equipment available so you and your guests will hear nothing but beautiful rich sounds on the night.
The list of equipment that Azure carry is quite extensive: a mixing desk, amplifiers, speakers, floor monitors, stands, dozens of cables… not to mention the band’s instruments themselves. But again, you don’t need to worry about this. The band have it all taken care of.
All of this equipment is tested regularly and issued with a ‘Portable Appliance Testing Certificate’. This is a legal requirement that venues need to see. It shows that each piece of equipment is safe to use.
When it comes to a wedding or special event, Azure believes that there can be no excuses for things going wrong. For this reason the band has invested in back-up equipment, which they carry to every performance. This means that in the unlikely event of a technical problem, the show will go on precisely as planned and your evening won’t be affected one bit.
Lighting is an important part of an evening of dancing and live music. It greatly enhances the atmosphere of any celebration and is essential for lighting up the band so you and your guests can see them.

You may have noticed that some function bands charge for a sound engineer. This is essentially a person that sets up and operates the sound equipment on the night. Azure does not use sound engineers because the guys understand their equipment very well. The bandleader efficiently performs every task that’s needed during set up, sound check and the performance itself. This saves you hundreds of pounds and leaves all the organising safely in the hands of Stuart the bandleader.
Setting up the equipment
It takes about 1 hour to fully load in all the band’s equipment. This will be done at a time that suits you and fits in with your schedule for the evening. Once set up, the band will need to perform a quick ‘sound check’. This is where the band play 30-60 seconds of music and adjusts the volume levels of all the instruments to suit the room. At that point the band will be ready to perform any time you like.
